IMPORTANCE OF LOCATION

Hoardings are a vital aspect of Out-Of-Home Advertising. The success of any outdoor  advertising campaign depends on not only the design and appeal of the ad, but the location as well. The positioning of your hoarding could give you the edge over your other competitors. Here is why:

Attracting the Right Eyeballs

Target audience is the type of public you wish to convey your message to. This demographic is crucial to gauge the impact of your brand. Every person who views the billboard is a potential customer, either from the general public or the companies needing advertising.

Visibility

If the billboard is placed behind obstructions, like trees, poles, buildings or wires, no one will read it. Obstructions make it difficult to read, the reader is disinterested and  this creates a negative impression of your brand. Illegible content, lack of visual connection  with the signage, defies the purpose of the outdoor hoardings.

Distance

The distance of your hoarding should be carefully placed in a manner to be readable, at the same time, it shouldn't be too close to be overpowering the viewers. Those travelling have only a few minutes or seconds to glance past. They will miss the message if the distance isn't perfect.

Traffic

Billboards attract maximum attention on routes with heavy traffic. Generally, business complexes, metropolitan areas receive a high amount of travelers. It is a waste of resources to construct a hoarding in an isolated locality.

Locality

Selecting a location close to your place of business gives easy access to the audience. This is especially important in case of food joints and restaurants. Business areas like BKC or South Mumbai, have hoardings strategically placed outside offices and areas of public transport.

Commuters

An average Mumbaikar is said to spend 90 mins travelling daily. Hoardings need to grab their attention.

De congest

A cluster of too many billboards saturates the market and the viewer doesn't pay attention to your hoarding. Give it space to breathe and be professional towards your competitors.

Thus, outdoor advertising is not just about promoting your product or service. It is about the art of making people look at your site and making them remember your message and brand
